Carmen Dei..."The Song of God"

My friend Matt Kruse is Lead Pastor @ Edgeworth Church in Malden, MA and is spear-heading a group of people who are seriously hungry for God and are seeking ways to penetrate the urban core just north of Boston. Last night I got to hang at their gig called Carmen Dei. Latin for "The Song of God", CD is a colaboration of original music, art, poetry and all. Artists of all sorts from around the area are invited to display their God-given talents, while Matt and John take them higher in understanding that God is in fact the One who gives to all people life and breath and everything else! Featured last night were a couple of Puerto Rican and African American rappers, an acapella quartet, soul and R&B rythms...and MC, John Frederik, whose acoustic guitar sets were reeking of excellence. My take is that the potential of this sort of outreach is huge! A very sweet evening indeed...
